“Get married in Lazio” is the appeal of the region to all who are planning to get married in 2022!
Couples who get married in Rome and Lazio from 1 January to 31 December 2022 are eligible for two thousand euros (€2000) in reimbursement. The ‘In Lazio with Love’ fund has been allocated €10 million, which can be spent at companies in Lazio. Future spouses just need to set a date and choose an enchanting Lazio location, from villages to castles, from farmhouses to Roman churches, to say “I do”. The funds can be spent on both religious and civil ceremonies.
Who can apply to get married in Rome? As stated on the Region’s website, the request for reimbursement can be filed by both Italian and foreign couples (including Italian residents who live outside Lazio, but wish to get married in the region).
Expenses must comply with certain requirements, including taking place between 14 December 2021 and 31 January 2023. Online payments are not accepted, instead payments should be made with other traceable systems (such as bank transfer or electronic payment), be documented with invoices , receipts or accounting documents.
The contribution will cover expenses incurred, such as wedding dress and accessories for the bride and the groom, wedding rings, floral arrangement, catering and restaurant services, and so on. A maximum of 700 euros for photos and video shooting or honeymoon trip can also be requested.
