The Colosseum Terrace Residence is set in the heart of Monti and comfortably sleeps 14 people total, making it TreasureRome’s largest apartment.
And set just a 10-minute stroll from the Colosseum, it’s close to major sites while still serving as a relaxing home where you can unwind after a busy day of sightseeing.
This property is made up of two separate apartments: the Daphne Terrace (5 th floor) and the Apollo Terrace (2 nd floor). The building has an elevator.
Set within a Baroque 17 th century building in the charming Monti district, our Colosseum Terrace Residence is rich in history and will transport you to another era. Pope VI spent time on the property and the outdoor courtyard served as a workshop for the Vatican Museum to restore its priceless marble statues in the 1800s.
Now owned by an esteemed scientist with a passion for the arts, the Colosseum Terrace apartments are full of fascinating historic objects including ancient maps, rare prints, astronomical equipment, 17 th century paintings and even a grand piano (in the Daphne Terrace). The wooden beams ceilings are painted by hand featuring ornamental vegetal motifs and were recently restored to help maintain the historic details of the home.
With two separate apartments, this residence features 5 double bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms (with sofa bed) and 2 dining rooms.
You’ll also have access to a beautiful garden terrace that looks out onto the rooftops of Rome: dine al fresco as the sun sets or enjoy your morning breakfast surrounded by fragrant orange trees in the morning.
Like with all TreasureRome apartments, this home has A/C, a fast internet connection, washing machine, dryer dishwasher, TV and more.

Henrietta from TreasureRome was incredible! She answered any questions or needs we had within a very short time. The airport rides that she facilitated were prompt and professional. The prices was comparable with some services and cheaper than others. The Professor who owns the two apartments lives in the building and it was a pleasure to meet him! You can read about him in other reviews. I personally liked the 3 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor best for the layout. The bathrooms were near the bedrooms and very convenient. The dining table is in the middle of the kitchen and it made for cozy teas and chats around the table. On the 5th floor apartment both of the 2 bathrooms are close to one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom is on the other side of the kitchen so you have to go over to the other side by the other bedroom to access the bathroom. Not a problem just a bit more inconvenient than having your own private bathroom next to your room. The location is awesome! Short jaunt to a lot of things you want to see in Rome. I highly recommend this place and will return!
My had a wonderful time in Rome and in the Professor's apartments. We were 11 people of all ages on a big family trip to Italy. We fell in love with the historic apartment and all the incredible art and antiquities. The location in Monti was fabulous. There are so many shops and restaurants that we feel we need to return to try them all. It is a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and Trevi fountain. The beds were very comfortable and all the furnishings very nice and the roof terrace was wonderful. We were lucky to have very warm weather in march in the 20's and could have drinks on the terrace. My senior parents appreciated the elevator after a long day of sightseeing. The communication was prompt and easy as was the check-in and out. We would recommend this apartment to anyone and hope to return one day.
It is a great place.
Beautiful historic building and pictures. The kitchens and bathrooms are OK. The furnishings are good. The description suggests the terrace is attached to the property but it is not.
Great apartments, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, hosts very accommodating and welcoming, could not have asked for more. Can thoroughly recommend..
Our first time in Rome. The apartments were great, very nice. The location is close to most everything; shops, restaurants, buses. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, very cool and relaxing.
This is an outstanding property. From the moment we brought or luggage up to the 5th floor in a beautiful old style elevator, until we were exited through the 15 foot Roman doors, this property delivered beyond our expectations. If you want a Roman villa in the middle of the heart of Rome (10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain)This is it. I had the second floor the floor fifth floor and the Terrace. I could go on but I would suggest you go to the owners description of the property, it is spot on, if not understated. Multiple locally owned restaurants literally a minute outside your door. It will take you a minute and a half to get to the local grocery store. This property increases your enjoyment of Rome. Simply outstanding, Highly recommended
There is no better location in Rome than this apartment in Monti -- you have proximity to all of the sights, and you're right in the middle of a lovely, quiet, stylish neighborhood that has far more locals than tourists. The apartment is full of wonderful details like beautiful painted wood beamed ceilings and a lovely rooftop terrace (with a lemon tree!), and it is also updated for comfort and convenience. We came with our two young kids, our babysitter, and my 70-year-old parents, and the combination of the two apartments worked perfectly for our group. Carlo and his colleagues are responsive and incredibly helpful, incorporating thoughtful touches like a partially stocked fridge and a stock of local maps and guidebooks. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
As a group of 12 men between 45 and 65 yrs old, we had a terrific stay in both apartments. The apartments were very comfortable, and the high-light was the roof terrace: many plants giving it a green atmosphere and several spots to sit and relax. The owners were also very facilitating in everything we asked for. Finally, the location is ideal for visiting cultural and recreational (bars) locations on foot.
Beautifully appointed in an amazing location. Steps from the Forum and Colisium, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The owners were wonderfully accommodating and gracious. We would love to return!
